An Cala is a fine garden designed by Thomas Mawson in the early 1930s, tucked between the rocky cliffs and the sea. A formal terrace built from local slate is complemented by winding paths and meandering streams with dams in many places to make little pools or waterfalls - perfect for growing marginal or bog plants. There is colourful planting throughout - Poulsen roses, Japanese cherry trees, Ghent azaleas and escallonia hedges are just some of the original plants that have survived to this day. A fifteen foot wall of grey bricks stands as a barrier to protect the garden from the Atlantic gales.

Admission: Adult £3.00, Child Free.
Child Friendly:  Children of all ages welcome
Dog Friendly: Dogs Permitted (Dogs on Leads)
Location: On the A816 south of Oban. Turn right to Easdale and continue for approx. eight miles. The Garden can be found after Easdale School.
Facilities: Coaches Welcome, Guided Tours (restrictions may apply), Limited Disabled Access, Parking Availability, Plants for Sale
