Cluny House Gardens
Cluny House Gardens is a 2.4 hectare Himalayan/North American woodland garden overlooking the scenic Strathtay valley, features woodland plants regenerating and expanding beneath a canopy of rhododendrons, acers, rowans and birches. Giant Himalayan lilies, blue poppies, exotic arisaemas, skunk cabbages and copious numbers of candelabra primulas grow in profusion in the marvellous leaf litter and acidic soil. Cluny boasts a champion Sequoia with a girth of 11m. May and June are regarded as Cluny´s `must visit´ months, early spring with carpets of erythroniums and trilliums, and autumn. Glorious colours can be equally rewarding. Red squirrels are an added attraction.
