Monteviot House Gardens

Monteviot House Gardens are situated on the banks of the River Teviot. The river garden has been replanted with herbaceous perennials and shrubs, giving a more informal design. Curved borders, bulbs and roses lead to a broad stone landing stage above the Teviot itself. Stroll through the water garden fed by a natural spring here you will find three islands linked together by elegant curved wooden bridges. Recently cleared is the exceptional arboretum, displaying the trees in their full glory.
