Manderston with its four formal terraced gardens planted in Edwardian style is an impressive example of gardening on a grand scale. Overlooking the serpentine lake and a Chinoiserie bridging dam, visitors will be drawn to the woodland garden on the far side, with its magnificent collection of rhododendrons and azaleas. To the north lies the formal walled gardens, immaculately kept by two gardeners. Stroll through the guilded gates into an oasis of colour, planted on different levels. Fountains, a rose pergola, statuary and greenhouses will capture the imagination in these formal and informal 56 acre beautiful gardens.
