Culzean Castle & Country Park garden
The `Culzean´ style of the Castle and gardens is reflected in some of the architectural features found throughout the grounds, and the restoration is an on-going process. Hidden treasures such as Robert Adam´s unique viaduct have been partially re-built together with the 1800s camellia glasshouse originally used as an orangery. The huge sunken parterre with red-hot pokers are sheltered from the sea only by the Castle itself. The 30 acre gardens retain the grandeur of the turn of the century with a Pleasure Garden and fountain, and the walled garden with herbaceous borders and vegetable plantings.
