The Courts Garden

The Courts Garden is a comfortable, hard-working 1920s garden of different character areas in the manner of Hidcote. Good use of colour in both shrub planting and in the borders, many of which are closely colour-coordinated. The water garden contains a rectangular lily pond surrounded by pale Iris Sibirica and an earlier creation of a dye pond. Borders are enclosed with Yew, Beech and Holly. The colourful and productive vegetable garden has recently been restored together with the Orchard and Arboretum. Now a beautiful and peaceful place all year round with rare trees and masses of spring bulbs.
