Moorlands garden
This 4 acre garden set in a lush valley deep in the Ashdown Forest was originally laid out in 1929. A lake and ponds are home to a range of woodland and bog-loving plants. There are long herbaceous borders on a sloping site near the house and mature trees leading to streams and a river; full of grasses, bamboos and waterfalls. Primulas, fine rhododendrons, azaleas, wild daffodils and orchids along with the many specimen trees planted 25 years ago make this garden an arboretum.
