Milton Lodge has charming Grade II listed gardens with south facing terraces overlooking Wells Cathedral and the Vale of Avalon with mixed borders, roses, yew hedges, fine trees and a separate 7 acre arboretum. Originally laid out in the early 1900s but more recently re-planted with old-fashioned roses, numerous climbers, herbaceous plants, mixed shrubs and ground cover for season-long interest. These beautifully managed gardens have an air of peace, calm and tranquillity.

Location: Half a mile north of Wells. From the A39 Bristol to Wells, turn north up Old Bristol Road. Car park first gate on the left. Large coaches by appointment only.
