Cothay Manor garden

The gardens at Cothay Manor are five miles west of Wellington, hidden in the high-banked lanes of Somerset. Virtually unchanged in 500 years, this sleeping beauty sits on the banks of the River Tone within its 12 acres of magical gardens. The gardens were laid out in the 1920s and have since been re-designed and replanted within the original structure. There are many garden rooms, each a garden in itself linked by a 200 yard yew walk. In addition there is a bog garden with azaleas and drifts of primuli, fine trees, cottage garden, courtyards, and river walk. A truly romantic plantsman´s paradise.
