Felbrigg Hall garden

The 17th century Felbrigg Hall has a delightful walled garden, combining productive and ornamental gardening. Fruit and vegetables abound and provide fresh produce for the restaurant. Espaliered fruit trees, vines and figs trained on the old brick walls while beds contain dahlias, roses and herbaceous plantings as well as herbs. The ornamental pond is surrounded by lavender `Hidcote´, very popular with bees from the hives in the apple orchard. And doves from the octagonal dovecote circle overhead. In the shrub borders the National Collection of Colchicums provides a spectacular display in the autumn. There are wonderful walks available in the surrounding park with its ancient trees and lake.
