Bedgebury National Pinetum is the sort of natural treasure that England does so well. Open year round and beautiful in all seasons, enjoy the fabulous display of one of the worlds most complete collections of conifers with a network of pathways for walks leading you to beautiful views around every corner. In the colder months, wrap up warm and kick some autumnal leaves along the pathways then drop in on the visitor centre's restaurant for a hearty lunch. In spring and summer, pack a picnic and explore the wild flowers that dot the many acres of the Pinetum. You can also enjoy leisurely cycling and mountain biking in the 2000 acre forest, and if you have kids in tow, there is an excellent adventure playground just beyond the centre too - a simply magical place, whatever the season.

Bedgebury National Pinetum & Forest also has a Attraction / Activity:

Enjoy the Autumn colours - our top UK garden walks by Dinah Hatch

"If you’re looking for flaming autumn leaves with their flashes of orange and red, the National Pinetum ticks all the boxes – the dazzling pink maples alone are a sight to behold but look out for the purples, crimsons and yellows that flicker on the American Sweetgum. The Pinetum is famous for its stunning conifers while a walk down the Dallimore Valley yields black birch and ginko as well as giant tulip trees. There’s a fabulous play area for the kids once you’ve explored the grounds plus horse riding, cycling, orienteering and archery on offer too."

Ten of the best autumn walks by Natalie French

"Another Area of Outstanding National Beauty is The National Pinetum at Bedgebury, which lies at the heart of Kent’s High Weald Area. Famous for its collection of conifers, come autumn it is ablaze with colour – from the vivid pink maples, to the brilliant shades of purple, crimson, orange and yellow of the liquidambar. A walk down Dallimore Valley takes in giant tulip trees, black birch and ginkos, while around Marshal’s Lake, you’ll discover dawn redwoods and swamp cypresses, turning shades of burnt orange and reds."
