West Green House Garden demonstrates how creative energy is poured into gardening. It is a garden with a special and distinctive sense of place, made by Marylyn Abbott. It has a delightful series of vibrantly-planted walled gardens, surrounding a charming 18th century house. The largest features herbaceous beds with wonderful colour combinations and a superb ornamental kitchen garden. The Nymphaeum is fully restored with water staircase and Italianate planting. Beyond the Walled Garden the LakeField embraces one of Englands most eclectic collections of follies. A path leads from the serenity of the lake to the Paradise Water Garden and onto the chinoiserie inspired Garden of the Five Bridges.Always an inspiration. The House is not open to the public.
