The Garden House

The Garden House is one of the finest gardens in the South West with over 6,000 plant varieties. The 8-acre garden is several gardens in one and demonstrates outstanding examples of both traditional and naturalistic planting styles. See the romantic terraced Walled Garden,the South African Garden with its myriad of poppies, the Cottage Garden and Wild Flower Meadow as well as the Alpine Bank and Quarry Garden. A huge variety of rare bulbs carpet the Bulb Meadow in spring, and the Acer Glade with its tumbling rill and outstanding collection of Japanese Maples offer a kaleidescope of autumnal colour. A new 2-acre Arboretum is currently being created to celebrate the Garden's Golden Jubilee. This latest feature is due to be open in mid-2012. A warm welcome awaits you at The Garden House.
