Trentham garden

Trentham gardens, relandscaped in 1759 by Capability Brown with the Italian Flower Gardens laid out by Charles Barry in 1833. The Italian Flower Gardens have recently been restored by well known designers Piet Oudolf, Tom Stuart-Smith and Michael Walker, the upper part of the garden brought back to its former glory and the lower part reinterpreted in the modern perennial style. The perimeter woodlands and western pleasure grounds will be planted with trees connecting the formal gardens to the park. A grass amphitheatre overlooking the lake will lead to perennial and wildflower meadows.
