Tresco Abbey garden

Tresco Abbey Gardens defies all the preconceptions regarding what can and cannot be grown in rain-soaked, frost-cursed Britain. A perennial Kew without the glass hosting 20,000 plants. The garden is home to species from 80 countries ranging from Brazil to New Zealand and Burma to South Africa. With a network of walled enclosures built around the Priory ruins and terraces carved from the rocky south facing slope looking towards St Mary´s, tall wind-breaks channel the weather up and over the gardens. Rarities like Lobster Claw, great blue spires of Echium and shocking pink drifts of Pelargonium.
