The award-winning Hall Place Gardens surround the Grade 1 listed country house built in 1537 for former Lord Mayor of London. The recently restored Tudor house is open to the public with new displays including an introduction to the house's history and exhibits from Bexley's museum collection. The 75 hectares of formal gardens and landscaped parkland also feature a magnificent topiary lawn as well as enclosed gardens and inspirational herbaceous borders. In the walled gardens there are sub-tropical glasshouses and a nursery selling Hall Place plants. A new visitor centre onsite offers a riverside tearoom and gift shop.

Opening Times: Formal Gardens & Park: 08:00-sunset, all year. House, Visitor Centre & Tearoom: 1 Apr to 31 Oct Mon to sat 10:00-17:00, Sun & BHs 11:00-17:00. 1 Nov to 31 Mar, Tue to Sat 10:00-16:15. Closed Sun & Mon. Opening times subject to change. please telephone in advance.
Admission: Free, Donations welcome. Charges may apply on special event days. Pre-arranged guided tours (10+) £6.00.

Location: Hall Place is located at the Black Prince Interchange of the A2, 5 miles from Junction 2 on the M25 towards London. Signposted from A2 with brown tourism signs. Nearest rail connection Bexley BR. Bus connections 229, 492, B15 and 132 at the foot of Gravel Hill.
