St Andrews Botanic Garden
St Andrews Botanic Garden moved to its present site at Bassaguard in 1960 and since 1987 has been managed by Fife Council. The design and wide range of plants have won international recognition. There are sheltered walks through large plantings of trees and shrubs, water, woodland and rock gardens. A striking collection of rhododendrons, primulae and meconopses. The Glasshouses contain a varied selection of alpines, succulents, tender rhododendrons, orchids and rain forest species. Interpretation boards explain the scientific interest of the garden linking beauty, horticulture and botany. Truly a garden for all seasons.
