Ripley Castle Gardens

Ripley Castle´s Walled Gardens are home to the National Hyacinth Collection where you can see up to 60 varieties when in full bloom. A huge range of hot houses, contain a highly impressive collection of tropical plants, ferns and cacti. Ancient wisteria and clematis thrive on the high south facing walls. Two massive herbaceous borders are a riot of colour between June and October alongside the fountain and lawns. Within the walled kitchen garden there are rare varieties of fruit and vegetables, herbs and spices. The Pleasure Grounds, with fine vistas over lakes and a Deer Park, contain a collection of specimen trees from around the world.
