Ventnor Botanic Garden

Ventnor Botanic Garden is a 22 acre, very lively botanic garden right by the sea. A remarkable collection of plants from all over the world, mainly from the southern hemisphere, many tender but thriving here given enough shelter. Naturalised giant echiums and a Palm Garden with yuccas, phormiums and cordylines. The New Zealand glade, just as grey-green as you might expect, holds the largest collection of native plants grown in the UK. Good jungley glasshouse and lots of vivid summer colour.
