Westonbirt The National Aboretum garden
Westonbirt The National Arboretum garden was created in 1829 and is a wonderful world of trees both old and new, beautiful all year. Set in 600 acres of glorious Cotswold countryside, it has seventeen miles of paths along which to stroll and over 18000 numbered trees, including 100 champions. In spring it is ablaze with colour from rhododendrons to bluebells, and famous for its autumn colour including scarlet maples. Summer brings leafy glades with an exciting events programme including The Festival of Wood and outdoor concerts. Wander along beautiful pathways and escape the bustle of everyday life. Dusk brings with it melodramatic floodlit night trails.
