Saltram garden
Saltram was originally an 18th century landscape garden, featuring a fine orangery still used to produce a good collection of citrus fruit, and other buildings of the 1770s. Developments in the 19th century have continued to the present day, giving rise to a plantsman´s garden with sheltered pathways offering year round interest. Lots of early spring colour from bulbs and shrubs give way to areas of wild flowers and herbaceous plants underplanting huge and ancient trees. Many varied evergreens provide structure and shelter throughout the year whilst new developments increase the winter interest.
