Lanhydrock garden

Lanhydrock garden overlooks the valley of the River Fowey. Set on a hillside facing north-east above the house and park with bold, formal, Victorian lawns, lines of topiary yews, roses, herbaceous borders and vibrant bedding, and is flanked by woodland which acts as a very important shelter belt. Although the garden has its roots in the Victorian age, its collection is young with almost all the plants dating from the last 50 years, although earlier plantings still survive. The National Trust continues to build on the Victorian theme established by the family - magnolias and rhododendrons being particular features of the garden.
