Elton Hall Gardens
Since Medieval times, there have been buildings on the site of Elton Hall. The present gardens date from the Victorian and Edwardian era. During the last twenty years the gardens have been carefully restored and now include a flower garden, herbaceous borders, topiary and an arboretum. The gravel path encircles the lawn with immaculately clipped low yew hedges. More recently a Gothic Orangery and Garden, reached through a hornbeam-lined avenue punctuated with box pyramids, has been built to celebrate the Millennium. The gardens are at their best in June and July.
