Knebworth House Gardens

At Knebworth House the present 25 acre garden dates largely from the Victorian and Edwardian eras, with more recent and continuing restoration and additions. Sir Edwin Lutyens re-designed the formal gardens immediate to the House. Each of the `rooms´ within the garden has its own identity, colour and flowering time, including: sunken lawn; rose garden; green garden; gold garden; malus walk; pets´ cemetery; brick garden; the maze; ornamental ponds; wilderness and dinosaur trail; the walled garden with culinary herbs and vegetables; the Jekyll herb garden designed by Gertrude Jekyll in 1907. The gardens are maintained by the Knebworth House Education and Preservation Trust.
