Cottesbrooke Hall Gardens

Cottesbrooke Hall´s award winning gardens are set in delightful rural Northamptonshire. Reputed to be the pattern for Jane Austen´s `Mansfield Park´. Huge 300-year-old cedars set off magnificent pools, lily-ponds and double herbaceous borders recently redesigned. There are pergolas, rose borders, individually planted courtyards and captivating views over the Park. The magical Wild Garden is a short walk across the Park. Here are the wonderful colours of acers and rhododendrons, with bamboos and gunneras. A number of distinguished landscape designers have been involved with the garden including Robert Weir Schultz, Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe, Dame Sylvia Crowe and most recently James Alexander-Sinclair has reworked the herbaceous border. Picnic area available.
