At Knebworth House, the present 28-acre garden dates largely from the Victorian and Edwardian eras, with more recent and continuing restoration and additions. Sir Edwin Lutyens re-designed the formal gardens immediate to the House. Each of the 'rooms' within the garden has its own identity, colour and flowering time, including: sunken lawn; rose garden; green garden; gold garden; malus walk; brick garden; the maze; ornamental ponds; wilderness and dinosaur trail; the walled garden with culinary herbs and vegetables; the herb garden designed by Gertrude Jekyll in 1907. Park and Garden admission includes entry to the historic Deer Park and fabulous Adventure Playground, providing a great day out for families. Free Parking. Plant sales in Gift Shop. Garden Terrace Tea Room serves delicious homemade cakes, light lunches, drinks and snacks.
Perfect for a group visit. Garden tours for groups may be arranged at a small extra cost per person.
