Juliet Rix has been a journalist for over 25 years and a travel writer for more than a decade. Brought up in London, she has visited Cambridge regularly for as long as she can remember and spent three years at university there. After taking a degree in Biological Sciences and History of Art, Juliet worked for BBC Television before being posted to Indonesia for BBC Radio. Back in London she freelanced for Radio 4 but worked mostly in print. She writes features for magazines, websites and national newspapers - The Guardian, Times, Independent and Telegraph. She has also written two books, one health-related and the most recent a comprehensive guidebook to Malta and Gozo. She is as interested in her own country as in others, however, and loves to explore new places, historical sights, spas and anything a bit different around the UK.
