Being warmly greeted by Christine with tea, coffee & home made cakes in the comfortable lounge set the standard for 4 nights at this delightful treasure hidden away in the quiet of the country. Our en suite room, with a beautiful view across the fields, was attractive, comfortable, very well furnished & provided for. Christine's breakfasts were expertly cooked using local produce & her own home made jams. Just specify what you would like & she will do her best to provide it. If you want an excellent evening meal, ask for directions to 'The Gun' pub nearby, but for a superb meal ask Christine to conjure up one of her 3 course delights. Mmmm!

Lovely house with wonderful homely feel and beautifully decorated. The room was perfect and the beds super comfy - every little detail had been thought of to make our stay just right. We would highly recommend to anyone - and the home made cakes were so fantastic my husband would stay there constantly just for the pleasure of eating them on a daily basis!!!!

This is truly a very nice place!!!
Lovely rooms and garden, warm and very friendly welcome and a marvelous breakfast with lots of local products. Nice variety of splendid homemade food (jams, yoghurt, ...).
A high-quality BB!!!

From the minute you arrive to the time you leave your host, Christine, looks after you. We were welcomed with tea and homemade cake, and shown to our delightful room with en-suite. The cottage is wonderfully cared for with many interesting artefacts. Christine is a charming and warm person who makes you feel completely at home.
The food is prepared and cooked to perfection and care is taken of any special needs, in our case we requested low fat meals. I would recommend having an evening meal here as I am sure you would search long and hard to equal it anywhere.
Our stay was so enjoyable that we plan to come back. Thank you Christine for all your kind attention.

A warm welcome awaits you at Walnut Cottage by Christine the owner. I stayed there after being on a course and I was thoroughly spoilt and looked after as I have a vegan diet requirement. Nothing was too much trouble, the food was superb, the rooms are spotless and beautifully decorated, just like the rest of the cottage. Christine's attention to detail is wonderful, I had fresh roses in my room and she had replaced the biscuits for mixed nuts in my tea/coffee facilities. The pictures you see on the web site are exactly what you get. It's a real home from home in a pretty location with lovely views. I look forward to going back to Walnut Cottage when I am visiting East Sussex again.

My wife and I visited for our anniversary and it was truly a five star experience. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left Christine was the perfect host and I especially enjoyed the homemade biscuits with a lovely pot of tea on our arrival. The room was tastefully decorated and the breakfast was one of the tastiest we have had, thoughtfully sourced locally. We will most definitely revisit.

The cottage is tastefully decorated and supplies you with all you need and more. You are made very welcome. Christine is always there to help you and inform you about what to do or where to go locally. Her breakfast is a real treat. A great experience hugely enjoyed!

Me and my partner just enjoyed the most brilliant weekend at Walnut Cottage. The room was beautiful and so clean, there was homemade cakes and tea on the lawn when we arrived and the breakfast was delicious. Christine was really good fun and very helpful with things to do and pubs to visit in the area. Highly recommended!

This is an outstanding B&B! Fabulous house, sublime food and a charming hostess. This truly felt like a five star experience that was even more luxurious than the website.
The food was excellent value. Not only was it cooked to perfection, the quality (organic, ethical, locally sourced) was really second to none.
The owner of this B&B has collected an enviable collection of artefacts, and was kind enough to let us photograph one of her statues.
Sadly the weather was not good enough for us to make the most of the garden, but we hope to return when the weather allows us to eat outside.
