The Old Hall, Stuntney, Ely, Cambridgeshire

With the finest uninterrupted views across the Fens to Ely Cathedral, The Old Hall is a restored Jacobean manor house that was once home to Oliver Cromwell’s mother. Today the house offers luxury bed and breakfast where the owners look after their guests in true country house style. Arrive to tea and homemade cake in the beamed Great Hall and sink into a comfortable sofa by the huge roaring log fire. Sleep well in smart comfortable bedrooms, one having a super four poster king size bed and all are furnished with antiques and handmade furniture. Large en-suite bathrooms have splendidly decadent roll top baths as well as separate power showers – a real delight. Ely is just one mile away, one of the most beautiful cities in the country, very close to Cambridge and Newmarket and within easy reach of Suffolk and the North Norfolk Coast.
