Spears Cross is unique and special enough to be awarded the South West Tourism's 'Bed & Breakfast of the Year Award'. The house is one of the most atmospheric places to stay in Dunster. The quality of the specially made beds with 2262 springs are of the standard you would expect in a good quality hotel. We then set out to provide good quality bathrooms, luxurious toiletries and fluffy bathrobes. Then there is THE breakfast. The bacon is specially cured and smoked for us, the sausages come from free range Wessex breed pigs and orange and grapefruit juice is home squeezed.

Spears Cross is better than a 5 star hotel. The personal welcome and ensuing hospitality is exceptional. The bathrooms are are out of this world and so tastefully done. The breakfasts are quite outstanding, not only the food but also the illustrated menu. Cliff and Trish couldn't be more helpful, from their welcome right through to their wave goodbye. They do more than any guest could expect.

Beautiful property, exceptionally well kept and restored. Oak floors, panelling, beams and large wood burning fire. Exceptional service and attention to detail and extremely comfortable rooms, warm, clean and well equipped. Finally the breakfasts are the best I've ever had.

Our third visit and each time it has been brilliant. Cliff and Tricia can't do enough for you. Breakfast is superb, the rooms extremely comfortable and they really do work hard to make sure you are comfortable.
