Rebuilt in 1704 following a fire, the original house was a Tudor hunting lodge and home to Catherine Parr. The Old Rectory is set in 3 acres of manicured lawns with flowering beds, a haha and a tennis court. Hugh and Miranda Sutton moved to Dorset from the worlds of publishing and interior decorating and this peaceful retreat reflects their personal taste in art and fine furnishings. The house is close to the Georgian splendour of Blandford Forum and within reach of Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral. It is also well placed for Kingston Lacy an elegant National Trust house and the stunning Jurassic Coast.
