Local directions: From M6 Take the A590 signposted to Barrow and Kendal - take the 1st exit off staying on the A590 to Barrow and Newby Bridge stay on the A590 for approx 12 miles - after the Texaco Garage there is a roundabout go straight across and then take 1st right (200 yds) over the bridge to Hawkshead. Continue through Lakeside past the YMCA and we are on the left hand side.
