Leaven Hall B&B

Nayland Road, Leavenheath, Colchester, Essex, CO6 4PU

Leaven Hall offers a secluded, luxury Bed & Breakfast on the Essex/Suffolk border within 15 acres of garden and pasture. The 15th Century hall is surrounded by beautifully tended gardens and pond (as featured in the Royal Horticultural Society magazine) and offers a welcome home for deer, buzzards, owls and heron to name a few.

The interior of the hall ensures guests can relax in style with every modern comfort thought of, whilst still maintaining the classic charm that comes with a property with such history. Bluetooth radios, filtered water and individually wrapped soaps are all special extras for pampered guests, as well as tea and homemade cake on arrival (of course!)

The two bedrooms are large and comfortable, with a double and a twin on offer. The 'Blue Room' is heavily beamed with a King size bed and glorious views of the garden, pond and countryside. The 'Room with a View' is a spacious twin set under the eaves which lives up to its name with spectacular views across the south and west. Both rooms have their own ensuite bathroom.

Leaven Hall offers guests access to some of the most beautiful scenery England has to offer, and there is plenty to see and do in the local area. Biking and walking is very popular, and Leaven Hall is a welcome sight at the end of a long day's adventures.

Wonderfully idyllic and quiet place to stay. The perfect beautiful escape. Not only was it comfortable and extremely well equipped, but Shirley was so welcoming and had thought of everything we might need. Very good value for what you get.

Sam and I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say a huge thank you for our stay at Leaven Hall. I don't think we've ever been anywhere quite like it! From the gorgeous beams everywhere we looked, the nooks & crannies we kept discovering, the incredibly comfortable stay and your absolutely stunning gardens - we were really quite taken back by it all. We haven't stopped telling people about this little gem yet!

Thank you again for your hospitality and we'll certainly be coming back soon!

Best wishes,
Charlotte & Sam

As for our visit more widely, it was brilliant! We thought your house and garden were both absolutely beautiful (so nice to sit by the pond), the room itself was very comfortable with stunning views. The food was great - it was so nice to have a personalised breakfast and cake on arrival! We would definitely recommend it, and hope to come back, especially with the good weather we had this weekend.

Thank you very much,

Eliza
