Hookstead House, Hookstead Lane, Tenterden, Kent

Hookstead House is a restored and renovated building dating back to the mid sixteenth century. There is a wealth of beams and original features giving a warm and welcoming ambience. Hookstead started life as a cottage in 1560 and over the next centuries, was developed into a large farmhouse, finally having a Victorian wing added in the early 1900's. Within the gardens and grounds is an original coach house and it is hoped that it will also be renovated over the next few years. You can feel the years of history and the individual life stories of all the people who lived and loved in Hookstead House and the overall atmosphere is one of welcome and friendliness.
