Farthing Corner is a beautiful thatched house dating from the early 15th century, set in private gardens and woodland, in the small, quiet secluded village of West Tytherley in Hampshire’s Test Valley. The house is attractively decorated with the warmth and comfort of a true home. Cross the threshold under a metre-thick thatch into the beamed entrance hall. The house has a few acres of woodland, dotted with lovely flowering cherry trees, carpets of snowdrops, spring flowers a bluebell wood and natural ponds. To the front and side of the house are a lawn and gardens, a vegetable plot (many of which are served for the delicious, home-cooked meals), a fruit orchard with free range chickens.Listen to the bird song by day and the owls at night. The gravel driveway and secluded parking are particularly ideal if you have a classic car.

I found this B&B to be of the finest quality. Elizabeth was very friendly and helpful. The room was superb with a bed that I could have stayed in all day. The breakfast was beautiful, only sorry I couldn't eat it all.

Very warm welcome. Excellent breakfasts and suppers, cooked as we wished. Very large bright room with very comfortable bed, but would have liked a hospitality tray, for early morning cup of tea. Big bathroom.
