Duntrune House might look imposing on the outside, with its Scots Baronial style exterior and large lawn and woodland garden, but inside you will find a warm welcome sense of home. In fact, it is no surprise this B&B is a family abode; run by husband-and-wife team Barrie and Olwyn Jack, they open the doors of their listed 1820s Angus country manor, close to Dundee, to travellers seeking the best of Scottish hospitality. Expect a royal welcome; from the comfortable beds, local food including organically grown in-season vegetables and fruit, to the evening meals that reflect their Scottish roots. Well positioned for trips to Glamis Castle and many National Trust properties and historic settlements, Duntrune itself is part of the historic fabric of the area and home to its very own ghost, if tales are to be believed…
