The Old Manor House B&B

Halford, Shipston on Stour, Warwickshire, CV36 5BT

There’s a Tolkienesque feel that pervades at The Old Manor House in the Cotswolds. The charming honey-coloured brick building in Halford, with parts dating back to the 16th century, is filled with quirky beamed rooms and wonky windows, lending it a sense of awe and admiration. Home to William and Jane, there are three rooms named after former owners, festooned with comfy country style interiors, antique pieces, gingham fabrics and paintings; they are accompanied by a mix of private and en-suite bathrooms, teeming with fragrant soaps and lotions. Surrounded by three acres of landscaped gardens that slope down to the River Stour, it’s a great place to pitch up for a picnic, fish to your heart’s content or admire the sweet-smelling roses in full bloom.

100%

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!! What more can I say. One of the best B&Bs I have stayed in in England with the best hosts Jane and William. From the accommodation, food, location absolutely fabulous. This is the place to stay whether it be a short break or long. Jane, William thank you so very much for a wonderful stay.

We highly recommend The Old Manor House B and B. Jane and William made us very welcome and couldn't do enough for us. Our accommodation was five star and very comfortable. Extremely enjoyable home cooked English breakfast.

Exceptionally fabulous. Immaculate and charming old B&B oozing character. Hosts Jane and William absolutely delightful and couldn't do enough for us. I really can't recommend this stunning B&B highly enough. Faultless. No one could be disappointed with this accommodation. Highest recommendation.

Review of The Old Manor House

Brilliant hosts. The Manor House was the perfect place to retreat to after an evening at the RSC. Jane and Michael were remarkably kind hosts. Our stay was the perfect combination of being looked after, while also feeling like there was enough space to enjoy ourselves.

And a wonderful breakfast thrown into the bargain. First class accommodation.

I should also add that I had made special inquiries about my elderly aunt and mother who were joining the party. Jane was very, very helpful.

Thanks again. I cannot recommend enough.
