Review of The Lynch Country House

Posted on by Phil CoghlanType of travel: Business

I stayed for two nights in the Lynch Country House while working in Somerset. Not only was it a pleasant change from a hotel, but was itself quite excellent. The accommodation was very comfortable (I also had the Wessex room in the coach house) and the breakfast was particularly good. The house itself is a fantastic building, full of character inside and out.

I would thoroughly recommend staying here if you are looking for a weekend break in Somerset.

I stayed in the Wessex room in the Coach House because I was going to bring my dog Rex with me but, decided not to due to his age and the weather report. My room was wonderful with a huge comfy bed and small, but sufficent shower room. I also, had french doors that opened onto an enclosed garden complete with fish pond (Rex would have loved it).

The breakfast was a treat suited any taste or dietry requirement. I loved my pot of fresh quality coffee with my poached eggs and the best smoked bacon I've had in simply ages. The toast was artisan bread at it's finest.

If you're looking for that touch of luxury in a beautiful old market town in Somerset then look no further, you'll not find better.

The wifi connection was fast and consistent so I could do a little work in the evenings.

I'll be back with Rex!!!
