College Farm and Thompson Church were built in 1349, the former to house the five priests who looked after the Church and the village in the 14th century. The college was dissolved by Henry VIII in the 16th century when it became a manor house, and in the 19th century, a farm. It was rescued from dereliction by Katharine's parents in 1975 and has been run as a B&B ever since. Locally sourced, organic breakfast is served in 16th century panelled dining room and all food is either homemade or sourced from local farm shop. Tea is served on arrival with homemade cake. The house has been carefully restored without losing any of its historical charm. There are 15 acres of garden which guests are welcome to use. College Farm is a good base for touring East Anglia or for those who just want to relax in peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The owners were very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful secluded setting. I had no idea places or people like this existed. We will be returning.
