AA 5 Star luxury accommodation - Strete Barton House is a 16th Century Manor House set in extensive grounds in the picturesque village of Strete, near Dartmouth in the South Hams area of Devon with panoramic sea views.
All the guest rooms have a contemporary feel and are fitted with luxurious French sleigh beds or four-poster. Large guest drawing room with sofas and armchairs and open fireplace. The dining room overlooking the garden where a full English breakfast, fruits, cereals and toasts are served using local ingredients. On arrival guests are offered home-made cake and tea or coffee. Strete Barton House is ideally situated just 30 metres off the South West Coast Path between the stunning cove at Blackpool Sands, and Torcross Village – with its stunning beach. Two award winning places to eat in the village: “The Laughing Monk Restaurant” and the “King’s Arms”.

Local directions:	BY ROAD: On the A38 Plymouth Expressway from Exeter, follow all signs for Plymouth. Then take the A384 signposted for Kingsbridge, Dartmouth and Salcombe. On reaching Totnes, you will pass under an orange metal walkway bridge, get into the right hand lane and turn right at the traffic lights onto A381 signposted for Kingsbridge and Dartmouth. Follow the Kingsbridge signs until you reach Halwell, where you turn left signposted to Dartmouth. 200yds after reaching Dartmouth Golf and Country Club you will find a right hand turn, sign posted Strete, Slapton and Torcross. Proceed along this road until you reach the village of Strete. The Church, and the ‘Laughing Monk Restaurant’ are both on your left, and then Strete Barton House will be found on the corner of the next junction. The entrance being through the five barred gate. NEAREST RAILWAY STATION: Totnes (3 hour journey from London Paddington). Taxi from Totnes to Strete Barton House; 20 minutes.
