Castlemont B&B is a large Victorian family residence standing in two acres of gardens with unrestricted views of the northern Lakeland Fells and Solway Firth. Built of Lazonby stone, Castlemont combines the best of old world gracious living with benefits of modern facilities. Start your day with a traditional English breakfast or a selected oak smoked kipper, perhaps a poached egg with haddock or ham? Loads of toast, butter and marmalade with pots of tea or coffee, all made on the ever willing Aga.

We were recommended 12 years ago by the tourist board and have been back every Easter since. Superb accommodation on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Lovely breakfast and always made very welcome.

Most welcoming hosts. Friendly atmosphere. Extremely clean and tidy. Good breakfast to set you up for the day. Tea & coffee facilities in your room plus TV. This year has been my 5th stay with family, theirs 12th-15th stay. I can recommend.
