Buttervilla Farm B&B
Here at Buttervilla B&B we exist in a bubble of peacefulness, just a short drive from the South Cornish coast. Buttervilla offers laid back hospitality and nearby are a wealth of glorious beaches, historic houses, fine restaurants, interesting towns and quaint fishing villages, making Buttervilla the perfect place to relax and eat well. We are an eco-friendly organic farm in fifteen idyllic acres, with great views over some exceptionally beautiful countryside. We pride ourselves on the quality and the local sourcing of our food. Our breakfasts feature Gill's home made bread, granola, fruit coulis, yogurt and preserves, eggs are fresh from our own chickens. Free range dry cured bacon and a Cornish speciality, hogs pudding, are supplied by a traditional local butcher. In season the tomatoes are our own super tasty heirloom varieties. Preserves are made from our own damsons, strawberries, blackcurrant's or raspberries. We are situated on the 3000 acre Port Eliot Estate an historic Grade One listed house and gardens, open from March until June each year and should not be missed. In July the Estate hosts the wonderful Port Eliot Festival One of the UK’s most original, magical, bohemian, bookish, colourful, musical and comic festivals

Follow the road for 2 miles to reach the small village of Polbathic. From Polbathic turn right up the hill directly beside the Halfway House Inn, signposted to Downderry. Proceed up the hill for 450 metres until you see the Buttervilla sign in the hedge on your left. then turn left into our driveway. We offer free transport from the station and are happy to drop you off if you would like to use the rail network to explore the area. From St Germans station you can catch trains to Looe, St Austell (for the Eden Project), Plymouth, Truro, Newquay, Totnes, Penzance and St Ives (Tate Gallery) and also explore the lovely Tamar Valley via the Gunnislake branch line.
