I've lost count on how many times we've stayed here now! It really is our home from home. Karen, John & Monty are always welcoming and super lovely hosts! Karen's famous butter melt biscuits still fail to disappoint! Best breakfast I've had ever in a B&B, always hot and cooked perfectly, cereals, cooked breakfast, fruit salad, juices, hot drinks, everything you could want at breakfast table! The rooms are still very much perfect in my eyes, warm, cozy, clean, fluffy luxury feather pillows and duvet, crisp white sheets, amenities like no other, in the Blue Room? Watch your head! Traditional low slanted ceiling in places adds to the character of this gorgeous old Post House, bathtime fun with a huge jacuzzi size square bath tub in this room, French chic touches everywhere. Hairdryer, fresh towels, torch, kettle, teas/coffee/milk/sugar etc, fridge, wine glasses, bottle opener, digital TV, luxury soaps, shampoo, body creme, free wifi, free parking, local information to name just some of The Post House's amentities.

This property was the highlight of our three week tour of the UK and lived up to its description of luxury, boutique B and B. We stayed in the suite and were so content that we could easily have spent a week instead of two nights. We loved the romantic climb upstairs with the rope railing, the beautiful original artwork, the plush linens, the lotions and the biscuits. Having breakfast beside a wood fire was a real treat and the food was delicious. As everyone else has noted Karen is the perfect host, wonderfully helpful and chatty without being intrusive. She gave some excellent advice about National at Trust properties and made restaurant reservations for us. If we lived closer it would be a favourite weekend retreat.

We hired the whole place which includes the 2 B&B rooms and the self catering cottage for a family stay. We had a 2 year old toddler and she loved all the space in the house. The lounge is absolutely beautiful with such comfy sofas and a gorgeous open fire. The whole place is decorated beautifully with stunning furniture, comfy beds and lovely bathrooms. The blue room has a fabulous square bath in the room, which is really quirky. Karen welcomed us with delicious homemade biscuits and put some milk in the fridge, which was really helpful. Highly recommend this beautiful property for a comfortable stay with friends and family.

Without a doubt one of the nicest places we've stayed.....Beautifully decorated and well appointed with all mod cons but retaining the charm of the original building. We were greeted with a smile, tea, coffee and milk and lovely fresh baked biscuits. The bed was big and comfortable and all the linen and towels were beautifully fresh. I can't fault it in any way....perfect.

This really is an exceptional B&B Tastefully decorated in the style of a french farmhouse by charming owners. Quirky square bath in a lovely bedroom with low ceilings. Despite the french ethos the full english breakfast was superb. If we are ever in the area again we would certainly return-one of the best B&Bs we've ever visited

Stayed here on a business trip and it was an absolute haven. Karen and John could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. Comfortable bed, and lots of lovely touches in the room. Delicious breakfast. Can't wait to come back for a proper holiday!
