Overview
Winner of the AA Award 'Guest Accommodation for Scotland 2016-17'!
Check in at the elegant Dulaig Guest House which sits grandly in its own grounds in historic Grantown-on-Spey, park your bags in one of the three en-suite rooms and settle down in the pretty, very grown-up drawing room for a pot of tea and whisky and pineapple cake. You're on holiday now.
This 1910-built country house, one of only two five-star gold B&Bs in the Cairngorms National Park, is styled with arts and artefacts and blended with modern furnishing and makes for an ingenious little country getaway trip as its ideally situated to explore the Highlands. Whether you want to indulge in a spot of fishing on the River Spey, cycle through woodland paths around Aviemore or visit local distilleries on the Whisky Trail, it's all on your doorstep. That said, you may just want to savour your breakfast (eggs from the resident chickens, of course) then potter about the lovely Dulaig gardens looking for red squirrels or read a book in the summerhouse. Oh, and watch out for the Cake Fairy who makes daily drops. Heaven.
