Portland Place B&B is in a grand Georgian mansion built in 1765 by Adam and has a magnificent flying staircase topped by a glass cupola and some wonderfully decorated Adam ceilings. The owner is a serious collector of antiques and this is evident in some of the furniture. The guest accommodation comprises 2 large bedroom suites, full of character each with a private bathroom, TV, video and Sky, and one room with a 4 poster bed. Both rooms can be arranged to provide family accommodation. The atmosphere is generally very serene but takes on a slightly bohemian quality when the ground floor ballroom is used for fashion shows and photo shoots. This location is ideal for shopping in Oxford Street or Regent Street and for the wide open space of Regents Park and the London Zoo.
