You can’t beat a good zoo. Battersea Park Children's Zoo at London's Chelsea Gate brings wildlife to the city with an excellent array of creatures with which to wow your kids. Pop up beside the meerkats, hang out with Wiggle and Piggle the Kune Kune pigs, chat with the Mynah birds and pat the pygmy goats. There are giant rabbits, miniature Shetland Ponies and a mouse house plus a super adventure playground with diggers, a tractor and a fire engine for kids who haven’t quite expended all their energy before they leave for home. The Lemon Tree café has a heated baby feeding room with toys and books and when it’s closed in winter (when entry fees are reduced) there are snacks and drinks available in the zoo shop. Check the website during school holidays when there are plenty of special activities laid on.

Admission: Adult £7.95, Child (2-15) £6.50, Senior £6.95, Family (2+2 & 1+3) £26.00.

Location: Situated in Battersea Park enter park at Chelsea Bridge gate and we on on main carriageway parallel with the river just before Peace Pagoda.
Facilities: Coffee Shop, Gift Shop, Pay and display carpark
