Devenish Island

Devenish Island is accessible via the new EHS ferry or the MV Kestrel. Paths on the Island are quite steep therefore may not be suitable for people with walking difficulties. The Island is home to the Devenish Monastic Site, founded in the 6th Century by St Molaise. One of the earlies buildings to be found is St Molaise´s House - a very small church. Throughout the centuries this has been extended and other buildings have been constructed. Guided tours are available along with a Visitor Centre Exhibition.
