Rheilffordd Talyllyn Railway

Talyllyn Railway boasts narrow gauge steam trains running seven and a half miles into Snowdonia National Park. It offers walks from all stations, museum, cafés, shops, waterfalls, and wheelchair accommodation on all trains. It is not only the first preserved railway in the world, but the original 1865 train still runs on several Thursdays (see website). Daily service varies from two to nine trains depending on season. There are other attractions and places to visit in and around Tywyn and within easy reach of the railway, which will round out a day visit, or provide an additional activity during a longer stay in the area.
