Sygun Copper Mine
Sygun Copper Mine is situated in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park and is an attraction suitable for all the family, open for most of the year. See the famous stalactites and stalagmites formed some 150 years ago from ferrous oxide. The mine is a unique modern day example of 19th century methods of ore extraction and processing. Each stage of the mining process is clearly explained by audio presentations with special lighting and sound effects providing a realistic glimpse into the past.
