National Wetlands Centre

National Wetlands Centre (Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust) is the largest international wetland conservation charity in the UK. Founded in 1946 by the artist and naturalist Sir Peter Scott (1909 - 1989), WWT has 9 visitor centres around the UK, where people can get closer to wetland birds and enjoy spectacular wetland landscapes. Located on the Ramsar site of the Burry Inlet, WWT´s innovative centre at Llanelli is at the front-end of wetland conservation in Wales. It´s newest feature is the Millennium Wetland complex, home to wildlife as diverse as dragonfly and Little Egret.
